NP Rank:
Why did Bush let them die?
I have had enough!
I have heard this ridiculous, sing-song, slogan of Boy George Bush's War of Terror -
We fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here.
Friends, Bush and his Bushies had the chance to fight "them" over there BEFORE September 11, 2001. He did not. The neocon knotheads were too arrogant and blind to see the danger.
In January, 2001, Clarke sent a memo
detailing concerns about Al Qaeda and warning that crucial decisions
and actions needed to be put in motion quickly. He was slapped down by
the Bushies, they did not hear about anything that had remotely interested President Bill Clinton's team. They even went so far as to not retaliate against the USS Cole bombing for that very reason.
ROEMER:
What else could have been done, Mr. Clarke?
CLARKE:
Well, all of the things that we recommended in the plan or strategy
-- there's a lot of debate about whether it's a plan or a strategy
or a series of options -- but all of the things we recommended
back in January were those things on the table in September.
They were done. They were done after September 11th. They were
all done. I didn't really understand why they couldn't have
been done in February.
Counterterrorism Coordinator Richard
Clarke before the 9/11 CommissionClandestine, foreign government, and media reports indicate bin Laden
since 1997 has wanted to conduct terrorist attacks in the US. Bin Laden
implied in U.S. television interviews in 1997 and 1998 that his
followers would follow the example of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi
Yousef and "bring the fighting to America".
Bin Laden determined to strike in US - Presidential Daily Briefing, 6 August 2001
We've known for years now that George W. Bush received a presidential daily briefing
on Aug. 6, 2001, in which he was warned: "Bin Laden Determined to
Strike in U.S." We've known for almost as long that Bush went fishing
afterward.
What we didn't know is what happened in between the briefing and the
fishing, and now Suskind is here to tell us. Bush listened to the
briefing, Suskind says, then told the CIA briefer: "All right. You've
covered your ass, now."
Huffington Post - Tim Grieve, reviewing Ron Suskind's The One Percent DoctrineThe 9/11 attacks were a shock, but they should not have come as a surprise.
The 9/11 Commission Report
So, when you hear the Bushies give that line, remember this: they had their chance. They blew their chance to protect our shores. More than 3,000 people died as a result of the arrogance and cavalier attitudes of George W. Bush and the handlers who decide for "the decider".
We are at war NOT to protect America. We are at war because Bushies planned from the beginning, even before they stole the election, to invade Iraq.

It is the indifference of the masses indifference to their indifference of the masses that really gets to me.

Those who ignore the aspirations and foul deeds of Islamic fundamentalists are like the Germans and the Nazis in the 1920's and 30's.

Likewise for those who ignore the aspirations and foul deeds of Christian fundamentalists.
