Why is this Happening To Our Servicemembers?

I got an email this evening from a high school friend of mine that is in military. The tone of her email was grave and is very upset. She said –“what we can do about these single parents that are fighting so hard for our freedom and have their children taken away from them while on deployment? We, as military personnel, must have a family care plan in place or be discharged. Once we do, Family Court is allowing those children to be taken away for the "good of the child" by either an ex-husband or ex-wife! I'm appalled to even conceive that this is happening to our BRAVE men and women that are fighting in this war!”<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />She gave a link to this article in Today in The Military. "Servicemembers' children can be - and are being - taken from them after they are deployed.”

I wasn’t aware this was happening. Is anyone else aware of this?What can we do? Send a letter to your public official.
