Why would you want a NASCAR track in your area?

Gov. Chris Gregoire said she suggested building a NASCAR racetrack in Lewis County to officials from the stock car racing organization but they were not interested.

Something about trying to attract a bunch of rednecks to your county just does not make sense to me, regardless of the revenue involved.
