Lahoris love food. In winter there is an abundance of carrots, which are cooked, eaten raw, used in desserts and shredded for their juice. A glass of fresh juice costs 3 cents. Other items shown in pictures include Haleem and Kashmiri Dal Chol. Haleem is a paste like curry which contains, meat, pulses, spices and rice. It is eaten with freshly baked bread (nan or qulcha). The Kashmiri rice and dal is a favourite item for lunch. It consists of rice and lentils (dal) cooked with spices and herbs. All these food stalls are on Mozand Road in Lahore.
