Wizard of Id co-creator dies

Cartoonist Brant Parker, who co-created the comic strip The Wizard of Id, has died — his death coming just days after that of his longtime collaborator Johnny Hart.

Parker, 86, died Sunday from complications of Alzheimer's disease and a stroke he suffered last year, according to Kathy Kei, who edits The Wizard of Id at distribution company Creators Syndicate.

Hart, with whom Parker created The Wizard of Id, died just eight days earlier after suffering a stroke while working at home.
