Woman Dies In Southfield Fire

April 17, 2007 Michigan - An 86-year-old woman died early this morning in a blaze in the Stonebrooke Condominiums in Southfield. Firefighters got a call from the woman's husband, David Price, 76, at 7:33 a.m. He said the fire started in a storage unit near the furnace, Southfield Fire Chief Peter Healy said. He said Price tried to douse it with a bucket of water. Then he tried to get his wife, Nancy Haithco-Price, out of the unit, but was unsuccessful. She died at the scene. Healy said she did not ...
