Words and pictures flow together in superb 'River of Memory' (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)

The Columbia River produced a flood of books a decade ago, narrative accounts by writers who included Robert Clark, William Dietrich, Robin Cody and Blaine Harden. The flood of books from different New York publishers came about largely because Timothy Egan of Seattle had done a long feature on the Columbia for The New York Times.
