1 security men and 8 militants killed in clashes in Mohmand

Eight militants and 1 security personnel were killed in clashes in Mohmand Agency after the militants attacked the post of security forces on Saturday, local and official sources told.
According to details the Taliban militants attacked the check post of security forces in the border area of Koda Khel in tehsil Baizai some 50 kilometers from the regional headquarters, Ghallanai. One security personnel killed and three others got injuries in the incident. Later the security forces retaliated the attack and heavily shelled the hideouts of the suspected militants and claimed to have killed 8 militants in the area. The militants’ attacks and retaliatory actions of the security forces have been intensified in the border area of Mohmand Agency for the last month claiming several lives.
