11 dead in coal mine blast:China
Mines in china comes in news only for wrong reasons, this time it is death of 11 miners in Shanxi due to gas explosion. More than 3200 people died inmines related accidents last year.
At least 11 people have died in a gas explosion at a mine in the northern Chinese Shanxi, the country's Xinhua News reports.
It said the blast ripped through a shaft at the Xingguang company coal mine in the city of Jinzhong.
Two miners have been rescued. Three people are still missing and rescue work continues.
At least 3,200 people died in China's coal mines last year, making them the deadliest in the world.
China has been attempting to crack down on violation of safety regulations at coal mines, and many smaller mines have closed in recent months.

Tragic. There are so many good, hard-working Chinese dying for a little money and many shady ones taking advantage of them. Anyway, it isn't a good idea for humans to be burrowing around in the earth like ants to extract poison. It's senseless. Another culprit could be tobacco as the backward mentality to be a man, one must smoke. The government could do more to educate it's countrymen about the dangers or even impose higher prices for cigarettes but someone is being greedy somewhere at the cost of others' lives. Corruption must not be tolerated.
