I am sorry to hear of this disaster in Mumbai.  I have fears of similar disasters here this winter.

Here in California we have had two years of thousands of fires that have left the landscape barren of folliage and tree root systems that secure hillsides in heavy rain and three years of little rain fall.  There are reports of El Nino returning here this winter and with it heavy rains, which will result in flooding and mudslides.
