NP Rank:
14 civilians killed in Village Massacre by LTTE
Village massacres by the LTTE was a common phenomenon in Sri Lanka for decades, and this is why they are called the deadliest "Terrorists" in the world and not "Rebels" by the FBI. Well, does the world still wonder why the peace loving people of Sri Lanka want the LTTE totally eliminated?
[Death toll is 14.]
10 civilians including 2 children were killed while 5 others including 2 children reportedly sustained serious injuries when a group of LTTE terrorists opened indiscriminate small arms fire at civilians in Karametiya at Rathmalgaha Ella, in Iginiyagala today (Feb 21) at around 5p.m.
According to Iginiyagala police sources, LTTE terrorists have stormed into the Kirimetiya village and opened fire at civilians indiscriminately. These people are mainly chena cultivators the sources further said. The terrorists have shot at the civilians at pointblank range the Police said citing the injured who had managed to flee the area. Over the years LTTE terrorists have used village massacres and brutal attacks at livestock of the Sinhalese and Muslim villagers as an instrument of systematic genocide.
Army and Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel were inducted to the area in pursuit of the suspected terrorists. The injured civilians were evacuated to the general hospital at Ampara.
The FBI in its recent report called LTTE as the deadliest terrorist outfit in the world. According to the report, "it's not al Qaeda or Hezbollah or even HAMAS" but the group is called the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) or the Tamil Tigers for short is the deadliest and most dangerous terrorists outfit in the world.
According to finalized reports the death toll at the LTTE village massacre at Karametiya has risen to 14 civilians, while 9 others including children had sustained serious injuries on Saturday (Feb 21).

This has happened in the Eastern Province where the population consists of Tamils and Muslims as majority and a Sinhala minority. This is part of the land that the LTTE wants as their eelam. Do people seriously want the Govt to have talks with this mass murderer Prabhakaran at this juncture and hand over the fate of these Civilians to this man????????? Very BIG question.

Thank you for this important story. Many people in the world do not have to deal with terrorism and often do not have a clue about the outright murder in the name of a cause they pretend to hold dear to.

In fact the LTTE can be categorized as "cannibals" because they kill the members of the same community whose interest they supposedly represent.

Important and illuminating report. Thanks for posting. Too bad the MSM have largely ignored this...

Like Hiranya pointed out in another post, due to some "inexplicable" reason, MSM rely on the websites run by the terrorists themselves, such as tamilnet.com, for their coverage. We call it "asking about the whereabouts of the stolen goods from the thief's mom"
