Another season of Air attack begun in tortured land of Israel.The fight on the name of religion is not going to help any body, neither Israel nor Palestinian fighters.As per latest report at least 140 people died in air strike.

Why we humans fight at all , if it is not pseudo ego, whether in the name of race, cast, religion, nation, or economics , then what is it then.That makes humans so violent, that even it does not think even once before puling the trigger.

Israeli F-16 bombers have launched a series of air strikes against key targets in the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring scores of people.

Medical staff and Hamas officials said at least 140 people were killed when missiles hit security compounds and militant bases across Gaza.

The strikes, the most intense Israeli attacks on Gaza in recent times, come after the expiry of a truce with Hamas.Israel said it was responding to continued rocket attacks from Gaza.Palestinian militants frequently fire rockets against Israeli towns from within the borders of Gaza.In a statement, Israel's military said it targeted "Hamas terror operatives" as well as training camps and weaponry storage warehouses.

In the West Bank, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas - whose Fatah faction was ousted from Gaza by Hamas in 2007 - condemned the attacks and called for restraint.But Hamas quickly vowed to carry out revenge attacks on Israel in response to the air strikes, firing Qassam rockets into Israeli territory as an immediate reply."Hamas will continue the resistance until the last drop of blood," spokesman Fawzi Barhoum was reported as saying.Israel also stood firm, saying operations "will continue, will be expanded, and will deepen if necessary".

Reports of the casualties in Gaza mounted swiftly after news broke of the Israeli operation.

Palestinian militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza, initially said at least 40 people had been killed when a missile hit security headquarters in and around Gaza City.That figure quickly rose until both Hamas and Palestinian doctors said at least 140 were killed and some 400 people injured.

This is a huge tragedy and HAMAS is to blame. They caused this with their stupidity.

What would happen if Mexico fired rockets into Texas?

What would happen if Belgium fired rockets into France?

Hamas cannot seriously harm Israel and their continued stupid actions only bring death and worse poverty to Gaza.

This is a sad day as Israel is pushed into responding after days of rocket bombardment. Many falling into local villages killing, maiming and creating general havoc with the children of the region. It is just painful. This is NOT what we wanted to happen but like 158 stated there is just so much your population is willing to hold out for until it gets unbearable.

The discussion here is that Hamas was caught by surprise and now will have to make a decision to join in a cessation of rockets into Israel or more of the same. I pray that they will not be that stupid to continue this insanity. There are also reports here that Hizbullah leader just met in Tehran looking for instructions about whether Iran will support a two front war with Israel.

I also hope that Hizbullah stays out of the flair up. I just don't want to think what that will bring to the region. Only this time Israel will not restrain itself with a response.

No peace this way , bring the guys to justice, no war had ever made peace, it is not as easy, it is a shame for mankind during christmas; No one in Europe or US will support or understand this Christmas massacre. Start thinking, if you are unable to make peace don't try to get the rest of the world in your hate wars. We have other things to do. Just a disgusting act, uncivilized.

Israel doesn't seem to have been "pushed". It seems to have gone jumping in with both feet. Shalom? You're joking mate, the word has something to do with peace doesn't it?. As you should be so aware from your history since '48 one person's terrorist is another's freedom fighter, and oppression breeds resistance.

The International Press does call it a blood bath by now and hold Israel fully responsible.

So far over 195 Civilian have been Killed and many more injured.

The Hamas Rockets are and have been a joke in comparison, causing since the start of the Hamas Rocket lunching on Israel, 3 Israeli Causalities. The retaliation is way out of proportion and yes it is a massacre.

I am not anti Israel nor pro Hamas, however this is not defendable at all nor justifiable. Merely Propaganda and looking for excuses to bomb Gaza.

Nothing wrong with self defence, however this is not self defence, this is no different the Warsaw ghetto of 1940.

I beg to differ with you. Did you ask how many killed were in fact combatants? I think not. This is self-defense. How many Israelis need to be killed and maimed to make it okay to respond. No matter how many Jews are killed it is not enough. It wasn't enough through out the ages and certainly isn't enough now?

This response was fully supported by all sides of the spectrum. The left and right in Israel. You call this a "blood bath" and then quote of all the press the french outlet in Canada.

I am not here to debate your outrages. If you notice that I am about the only one that even responds to all of you that see Israel as you do. That is because they understand that is useless and a a waste of time to try and turn around your prejudged ideas about the situation. I also think it is time for me to be in silence here and let you all fight it out as to who can trash Israel best.

I would say Israel just delivered an air-mailed invitation to Hezbollah and Iran to intervene.

I do not defend the rocket attacks on Israel, but this is like using a howitzer to kill a fly.

But will he, no he would rather fill his Swiss bank account with money handed over to HaliBurton and KRW to be in Iraq.
