1400 cats were found in Jiangsu to send as food served by April Mon

On August 29th, 2008   Six member of CSAPA "China Small Animal Protection Association" found a truck carried 73 wooden box with around 1400 cats were ready to send to Guangzhou to served as food.

One of the member attempt to dispute with the driver, hopefully to stop this tragedy. The drivers deny their act at the beginning, after negotiate with the CSAPA member, they admit that they were sending the cats to served as food. Drivers said they were from a small town in Jiangsu, there are over 10,000 cats trade daily, each kilogram can earn for about $4 - $5 CNY. Furthermore, cats were send to Guandzhou and Hainan for two to three times a week.

Ms. Tsang and other member of CSAPA, request to the driver that they are willing to buy all the cats, but the driver refuse with their idea. When the police arrive at the cats market, they told the CSAPA that due to lack of evidence, there is nothing they could do.
