15 killed in accident on Mumbai-Pune expressway

A jeep carrying marriage party met an accident at in the western Indian town of Pune today and all the occupant were killed, three surviving are struggling for their life in hospital.

Fifteen people belonging to a marriage party were killed and three others injured when their jeep collided with a tanker on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on Sunday morning.

The jeep carrying the marriage party from Western Maharashtra's Satara district rammed into the tanker which was either stationary or had slowed down near Panvel, at around 0445 on Sunday morning, police said.
