The Mother Nature Network recently released a list of the 15 most toxic places on earth.  It's mostly pictorial with a brief description of the polluting factors affecting each area.

The list of the places, in no particular order is:

Citarum River, Indonesia
Chernobyl, Ukraine
Linfen, China
The North Pacific Gyre
Rondônia, Brazil
Yamuna River, India
La Oroya, Peru
Lake Karachay, Russia
Haiti
Kabwe, Zambia
Appalachia, West Virginia
Dzerzhinsk, Russia
Riachuelo Basin, Argentina
Vapi, India
Earth's orbit

They cover environmental issues such as smog, polluted rivers, deforestation, and space debris to name a few.

Everyone has their own opinion, here's mine.... unless you live here in Eastern KY, back off! To truly have your opinion even count you need to live in our area and live our way of life. How can you be from somewhere else and judge the way that one lives? Are you bored? Do you need something to do? How about concentrating on abused and homeless children or how about the poverty levels all over the world? But instead all that you can do is try to take our jobs, scholorships, etc and put us into a higher level of poverty. Mountain top removal has exsisted for CENTURIES! If you would do your research properly you will find that it is not harmful. There are MANY laws and regulations that must be followed in order for a removal job to take place! Then it is reclaimed and made into something much better and benefical; not only for humans but wildlife and aquatic life as well. Live here for a month or two, enjoy our way of life and you may change your negative opinions on us.
