16 killed in Philippine metro shootout

Its really sad to hear that in this shootout two civilians and one 7 yr old killed by the police officer but by mistake,because the van was full of gangesters.The Shoot out of criminal is day to day phenomena in Manila, but this incident is particularly important because of killing of innocents.

Sixteen people, including five civilians, were killed in bloody clashes between police and suspected robbery gang members in Metro Manila Friday night, the online news network ABS-CBN News reported Saturday.

Director Leopoldo Bataoil, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, said that one police commando was also killed in the deadly gun battle in Paranaque city at around 8:00 p.m. Friday night, the news report said.

Police said the slain suspected robbers are with Waray-Waray and Ozamis robbery groups. Three gang members managed to escape while four are now in police custody.

Thats really sad, we hear this kind of uncontrolled operations from around the world, the training of the security needs to be made more people friendly rather than making them robots without emotions.
