Investigators say a group of kids was having a snowball fight around 4:45 p.m Sunday at D and Rockland streets in Philadelphia's Feltonville section when the alleged gunman was accidentally hit in the face with a snowball. Sources say he told the victim he'd be back. A few minutes later he arrived and shot the 16-year-old in the face at point blank range.
How many Virginia Techs and cases like this are needed for the USA to say "enough"? Let em rebuff both usual arguments against gun control. One, in rural America you need a gun to protect yourself. Sure! File for a permit at the local authorities -- if you are VT or in Phil' then you are not in rural places so you can't have reasonable need for a gun. Two, criminals have a gun -- sure they have, and? If you pull a gun against someone who has an illegal gun, you will be wounded dead and not him, 'cos he is already bent on committing a crime. These things are not that difficult as they like to make it.

Maybe we shoulld require a permit for owning a knife or maybe bring back the prohibition again because alcohol kills more than guns do. The reasonable need to protect gun ownership constitutional rights have never been excusively about hunting in rural places, its about protecting the people from the government. So if the government is allowed to have weapons then so are the people of america otherwise guess what? You have nothing standing between government and your rights.
