Two people have been confirmed dead after a small aircraft crashed at the Joliet Regional Airport in suburban Chicago, Illinois. No word yet on the cause of the crash or the identities of the victims.
FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory says there were two fatalities and "an aircraft that burned" in the crash late Thursday. Joliet Park District executive director Dominic Egizio says the crash occurred at about 9 p.m. The district operates the airport.Egizio says the skies were clear over Joliet at the time of the crash. He says the plane was likely a two to four-seater.
