Militant destroyed one girl primary school and a boy High school in Shago area in Bajaur District of Pakistan Federally administrated tribal areas FATA , 31st Dec 2009. Half of the district is controlled by the militant. According to AVT television number of destroyed school in the district was reached to 68. Due to militant threat schools in the Taliban occupied part of the district are closed for the last one and half year. Taliban are against modern education especially of girls’ education. Since 1947 freedom of expression and political activities were banned in the area. This area is considering a buffer zone between Pakistan and Afghanistan. At the movement 4000 Mujahiden( Holy wariers) fighters including Arabs, Punjabi, Uzabak and Tajak fighters who were previously trained by American CIA who fought holy war against Russia. Pakistan army is now waging war against those holy fighters. Militant activities is not only restricted to FATA now they also destroying Girls schools in settled areas of the province. On Monday Taliban destroyed a girl school in Shabaqadar which is adjacent to Mohmand agency. The five-room government primary girls school in the town of Shabqadar was destroyed when two bombs planted by Taliban militants exploded, senior police official Mohammad Riaz Khan told local news paper reporter. Tragic part of the story is that the militants not only destroying schools but also kill female school teachers. A nearby house was also damaged but there were no casualties, Khan said. In district Peshawar 7 girls’ schools were detonated by the miscreant. According to an analysis Islamic fundamentalism is reaching to peak in different parts of the country.
