A suicide bomb at Moscow's Lubyanka subway station Monday at 7:50am killed 26 civilians - 15 people died in the train, and 11 on the platform. At least 15 others are wounded.

According to FSB, two women suicide bombers were behind the explosions. Preliminary reports say that body fragments of the attackers have already been found. The blasts were 300-400 grams of explosives each.

The bomber was in the second passenger car. Witnesses say that the explosion happened as the train came to a stop at the station.

About 45 minutes after Lubyanka, a second blast followed at Park Kultury Metro station. Fifteen  people were killed at this station. Both stations are on the same line. Emergency workers tended to victims at both stations.

Both stations were experiencing a high volume of passengers at the time of the explosions due to the morning rush hour.

Although the metro continues to be a popular way of transportation in the area, multiple bombings have occurred in recent years.

In February of 2004, a suicide bomber set off two bombs during morning rush hour on the Moscow metro. Those bombs killed 42 and injured 250. Over 700 people had to be evacuated during this explosion.

I live in Moscow and just received a report that a third bomb has gone off.  Not sure what metro station or casualty report.

Okay, I'll keep a look out. It just brings tears to my eyes that this situation is unfolding the way it is.

The news outlets I have been watching indicate that there were reports of a third explosion, but it was a false alarm. At this point, only two explosions have been confirmed.

“The right to resist an occupation, a terrorist threat or for self defence has to be understood in its true meaning, it cannot include the right to deliberately kill or mane civilians.”Attacking civilians is the lowest of all forms of resistance, opposition or fights. It is a criminal act with out excuses nor validation what so ever. Those that commit such acts or promote them need to be treated as murderer. If one wants to fight a government then at least attack that government's Armed forces and not its civilians that are defenceless and usually ignorant of the causes as well.

This is why we must have a classification for enemy combatants and must have especially blunt means for prosecuting them.

I too lived in Moscow in 2003 during the terrorist bombing outside Red square, what a terrible time for Moscow.

It is fortunate these suicide bombers did not carry out their bombing outside Gorky Park on the weekend when more Muscovites gather.

Lets hope they find those responsible and eradicate them from the face of the earth.

It's truly painful to see that those trying to go after the government are killing his/her fellow man in the process.
