2 suspected militants arrested in Mohmand tribal region of FATA

Security forces arrested two suspected persons from Darwazgai area of Tehsil Safi on Sunday, sources told.

Local people said that security forces raided in Darwazgai No. 2 area in the restive area of tehsil Safi and ceased the bazaar. After searching the shops they arrested two local persons in suspension of association with the local Taliban. The arrested persons were identified as Saifullah son of Fazlullah and Namos Khan son of Sarkari Khan residents of Haidar Kor and Darwazgai respectively.  Another person was also later arrested from Ghazi Beg area of tehsil Haleemzai but his name could not be ascertained.

These areas are considered as the hub of Taliban militants and skirmishes are often held in these areas from time to time.
