A bus caught fire in lucknow, when the bus was travelling hindu pilgrims, its very sad that 20 peoples killed in the bus fire.

A speeding bus caught fire in northern India, killing at least 20 Hindu pilgrims traveling on the vehicle, police said Tuesday.

About 55 people were on the bus, said Brij Lal, a senior police officer in the state of Uttar Pradesh, adding that the death toll was expected to rise.

Lal says a tire burst or a snapped axle caused sparks, which set the fuel tank alight. The bus then overturned, sliding for several hundred yards (meters) down the highway near the town of Firozabad, 125 miles (200 kilometers) southwest of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
