The 2009 Daylight Saving Time End Dates Around The World
It is the last day of summer in Northern Hemisphere today, and it means that the Daylight Saving Time is about to end for many countries around the world. The end of Daylight Saving Time implies all clocks will go back one hour, which means one extra hour of sleep in the morning.
Surprisingly, the stretch of time during which countries transition from Daylight Saving Time to Standard (winter) time is quite extensive. Such, Iran will go back to Standard time as early as tomorrow, September 22. While countries like Canada and the United States will revert back to Standard time on November 1.
Here is the list of some of the Daylight Saving Time end dates:
--Israel - September 27
--Australia - October 4
--Brazil - October 18
--Cuba - October 25
--France, Germany, Greece, Spain - October 25
--UK - October 25
For the full list of DST end dates, see here.
Among countries that did not observe DST in 2009 are Afghanistan, Aruba, China, Dominican Republic, Singapore, and South Korea.
