And one wonders why Americans accuse Canada as a "Porous Sieve" for Illegals walking into our Country with many keeping an illegal eye in getting in the Good Ole USA. I guess the USA is right when they pour billions in trying to protect their borders from their best pal Canada.

We Canadians also pay a price, longer border lineups, increased identification processes etc. All these things Canadians were outraged at the USA treating their largest trading partner and ally. Now Canadians can now understand why the USA is determined to never have another 9-11.

Not to say any of these illegals from Africa are terrorists, most terrorists are better funded and do not have to sneak in both our countries, as history has shown these Terrorists get in on our Student Visas.

What will happen to these so called Immigration Consultants who committed these Scams on the Canadian Taxpayer? Most likely a fine, if there is any money to be had, as for jail time, well very few ever see jail time of any length of time, hence not a great deterrent in order to open up for business the next day and do it all over again.

To date Government figures put it at 2 billion dollars annually Canadian Taxpayers pay legal costs as well as to house, feed, and clothe illegals who come a sneaking into our back door. Now you tell me how many Canadians get that sweet a deal? No one!

As for the 3,000 illegals who broke the law, what will happen to them, perhaps a background check to weed out any who have a lengthy criminal record in their home countries in Africa, though in many third world countries Record keeping in any form is pretty much sketchy.

Chances are each and everyone of these Illegals will have plenty O stories of harsh treatment in their former homeland if they return. So they may be allowed to remain in Canada. Why? Because first Canada would have to determine their birth country in order to deport them, and of course a mysterious game of cat and mouse will ensue when trying to get any information of personal documentation of their country of origin, as with most, they (Illegals conveniently destroy such documentation).

In ending, one can be sure there will be line ups of Vote Grubbing Politicians and the resulting grandstanding on both the Pro and Con side.

There is talk of a Royal Commission on Immigration in this country to halt all immigration until the economy is back on track, every Canadian has a job, Homelessness is solved and our Industries are running full steam. I will report on any progress on this Royal Commission being put forth by Canadians from across the country.

Illegal Immigration is something Canada and the USA can ill afford, as both Citizens and Illegal age the cost of Health Care will skyrocket for both of us, the only problem is Citizens of both our countries paid for these ever eroding benefits.

Citizens of both countries cry for social programs, economic fixes, environment, Health Care etc, all that are fast disappearing as our Government is not collecting enough tax dollars to pay for it. First Nations Reserves are a shambles is just on example.

Does it make sense to bring in more mouths to care for, feed and house, when we have homeless sleeping on the streets and children suffering malnutrition in CANADA!

Time for Canada to stand up and say We are NUMBER 1, and Canadians to state we need to TAKE CARE of NUMBER 1.

Boggles the mind our own children suffer, when we are supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world.

Again, We need to Care for Us, cause God knows no other country in the world will care for us!

Canada has to stop being the Solution to Immigrants who are ill prepared to fight for social economic change and justice in their own homeland. Canada and the USA fought and died for change a century ago, we got it and so should they from other countries!

In my Opinion, No one should get a Free Ride in my Country!

MONTREAL — Quebec’s health-care insurance board and the RCMP have uncovered a ring of about 3,000 north Africans allegedly using fake medicare cards to help themselves immigrate to Canada, according to a report in La Presse published Saturday.

In a statement, the Regie de l’assurance maladie du Quebec confirmed it is investigating “a sophisticated subterfuge that apparently was set up by an immigration consultant to make believe his clients live in Quebec.” It did not say how many people might be involved, however.

On the money: most of these people are well-educated cowards and from their country's elites. Look at Indian Brahmans: always working an angle to get into ivy league universities while leaving their own people to rot in slums in India (see the film Slumdog Millionaire for evidence).

Well you cannot fault those who want to attend and pay for an Ivy League education. Many people from India, China and elsewhere come to the states and Canada to learn valuable skills so they can go back home, teach at their own universities, or start a business, compete in the international business world and hopefully improve their countries financial woes, including hiring their fellow countrymen.

India before the techno revolution didn't really have much in the way of World Economy, but now through education have kicked ass to become a world powerhouse in technology, R&D, sciences etc, Nothing Wrong with that!

At least those people on Student Visas are doing something about it, instead of whining about a dismal situation, they are forward thinking as are the Chinese.

This story is about those who illegally come here, by hook or by crook and live off social benefits and off the backs of Canadians and the Taxpayers. Those are the ones who should be given a one way ticket back to their country Pronto, no courts, no appeals, just drive to the airports, slap em on a plane and send em back.

Damn it. I do live in Province of Quebec where we pay taxes like mad. One third of it goes to health care. And now I learn about these frauds. Waiting time in hospitals averages 20 hours and increasing year after year. Now I learn that some people in the waiting line might have faked health care cards. And we keep on letting more and more immigrants coming in. 50,000 a year in Quebec alone. Been like this for 8 years. Year after year. Dont expect the waiting time to decrease. Each day news telling the problems in our schools. Some schools are populated by close to 100% immigrants. One of them has 29 languages spoken. Teachers need interpreters. Same thing in hospitals. Costin billions. And government say they will increase the annual number of immigrants. Have our politicians turned crazy ?

Now dont think that Canada as a whole is any better. Same problems all across the land. 260,000 newcomers per year plus close to 140,000 more on all kind of visas. Totally unmanaged immigration. And it's been like this for 9 years in a row. Non stop. And now we have a recession. Soaring unemployment. And immigration flood continues. In fact politicians plan to increase their number. Now I know they're crazy.

I feel that the only identity I am left with is being Joe Taxpayer. And Joe is furious. And I know there are many Joe Taxpayer. They will become Joes Taxpayers. And then guess what.

Thanks for your comments Andre, you're preaching to the Choir! I think should immigration should stop until Immigration Canada gets their act together in clearing the backlog of illegals and deport their asses. Once Canada is on sure footing and every Canadian is take care of, with a healthy robust economy, a job, health care, no homeless and all the other perks Canadians fought for we can then revisit Immigration again, until that time comes, I say stop it in its tracks. Can you believe it is said it costs 2 Billion Dollars a year to house, feed and pay all legal costs for illegals who are here illegally, whatever the f**k happened to deport their asses immediately? One can only assume Ethnic Votes is the way to political power in this country, Cause god knows as you say Joe Average Canadian Taxpayer aint voting for it. Regards Barry

The USA and Canada have a right to want a better life for their own children and grandchildren. The illegals coming into our countries are costing both countries too much money. When my family came to the USA they did not come in illegally and then go on welfare because they started having anchor babies the minute they crossed the border and free medical at our hospitals. The only right answer is to send them back to their own countries and not to give their anchor babies automatic citizenship. The children born to illegal mothers in the US and Canada should be given the citizenship of their mother's country, not ours!! Allowing (and even worse) REWARDING law breakers is not teaching our children what is right or wrong.

I certainly hope President Obama has a stronger moral fiber than President Bush but I don't this will prove to be true. Politicians think they will have more votes for their hidden agendas by befriending these people. I think it will come back and bite them in the butt. People in both these invaded countries are getting sick of paying for these lawbreakers and will eventually rise up in protest and those same "politicians" will pay for not showing more loyalty to US citizens.

We cannot take in all the poor people in the world. There has to be a limit and that is not wrong! It is morally right to take care of your own first before taking care of your neighbor. Some people will just have to bloom where they are planted and possibly come up with solutions to assist their own countries in becoming better!!!

Unfortunately, many of the people "sneaking" into these countries are illiterate. How is that going to help our countries??? THEY NEED TO BE SENT BACK IMMEDIATELY...They are breaking the law....no need to go to court or anything. They should be sent back with a warning if they come back again, they will go to jail for 5 years. Then they need to set up secured tents and hold these people for 5 years. No big prison or even jail...tents! See if they want to break the laws of Canada and the US then.
