3 Men Down..??
After 5 days in protest, 3 men of "Sealed Lips for Protest" got dehydration.. 1 of them (Ronny) was sent to Emergency Unit in hospital, while the other 2 (Ahmad Syafii, Heri Setiawan) just stay in the tent with minimum medical care (infuse injection) in the name of solidarity..
Several days before, mothers of 2 protestants came and gave support to their sons.. One of them (mother of Heri Setiawan) came from Balikpapan, another city 110 km away from Samarinda..
Previous story:
7 students of Universitas Mulawarman in Samarinda (capitol of East-Kalimantan), continues the protest upon the raising of fuel price by sealing their lips (sewing it, literally) and avoid to eat and drink for several days ahead..
Unfortunately, they avoided to tell the press, who has professionally permitted them to do that action.. And they also said that this action will be continued until one of them falls down..
They are Edi Susanto, Heri Setiawan, Gito Gamas, Eka Fauzi, Ronny, students of Faculty of Social and Political Science. Next to them there's Ahmad Syafii from Independent Community and Yono, one of high school student.
Until now they've been holding the protest in front of the main gate of Universitas Mulawarman. In a small tent, they've been accompanied by several students that giving oration and spreading the fliers..
Moreover, the protesters said that their parents support and allow them to do this action.
Today (June 24th) they have been continuing their action.. And furthermore, they also invite other people to join their protest by giving the blood fingerprint on the petition which contains their aspiration upon fuel price policy..
The points are:
- president has to cancel the raise of the fuel price
- president, general assembly and human rights commission has to take a serious action upon police's anarchism
- president has to renegotiate the contract of natural resources' exploitation that handled by nonlocal corporates
- and nationalizing the assets of Indonesia..
p.s. sorry for my not-so-good english
