3 People Found Shot To Death In Lawndale Apartment
Three people, 2 men and a woman, were found shot to death on Friday in an apartment building in Lawndale, California according to sheriff's officials.
The shooting was reported at 3:05 p.m. in the 14600 block of Larch Avenue, said Deputy Byron Ward of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau, but details were still sketchy.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Ward said.
There were no immediate reports of arrests.
Update: Additional details from the crime scene are now filtering in as investigators work into the evening.
According to Sheriff's Lt. Mike Rosson, somebody called 911 reporting that they heard a gunshot and then they discovered the bodies. Rosson would not say if it was a murder-suicide or a triple homicide.
A neighbor, who lives across the street from the crime scene, said a woman lived in the apartment with her brother. She stated that she often heard arguing in the apartment, which
leads the investigators in believe that domestic violance was at play.
"You can hear people yelling and screaming," she said. "You could hear the girl yelling, 'Help me.'"
A women at the scene stated that this was the first time a crime so serious had occurred in the area, where residents feel safe to sleep with their windows open.
The victims were all adults. No other identification is available as of yet.
