30 killed, 50 injured in blast near Shia prayer hall in Pakistan

30 people including two children, have been killed in a suicide bomb blast in Dera Ghazi Khan town in Pakistan's Punjab province. 50 people are injured when about 100 people joined a religious procession outisde a Shia prayer hall. The bomb exploded just before 7pm.

Local health official Natiq Hayat said 30 people had died and 48 others were injured in the blast. He said information about the casualties was still being compiled. Three or four of the injured were in a critical condition, he added.

Other officials said two children were among the dead. Hayat said some of the bodies were unidentifiable.

No group has claimed responsibility.
