As per latest report available from kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, 35 people are misssing after the boat carrying people capsized in eastern nepal river Kosi.The cold weather and foggy condition is making it tough for the authorities to start rescue operation.

According to latest report, 12 people have swum to river bank themselves while status of other is still unknown. Those rescued have been taken to Sunsari district hospital for treatment.

The boat started from Shreepur to Kushwaha capsized at around 7 in the morning. It is feared the boat capsized due to overload, mostly by children and women.

Police and boatmen have been deployed to search the missing people. The cold weather has affected the rescue operation.

Despite warning by the local administration not to ferry many people, the boat owners compete to carry as many people as they could.

 

At least 35 people were missing after a crowded ferry capsized on Sunday in a river in eastern Nepal, a local official said.
