Wow, I hadn't realized that there was a law against this, and I guess it makes sense if in some way the company was doing giveaways for voting a certain way... but they aren't doing that, and I honestly doubt that this actually convinced peolple to vote who wouldn't have; but if so, isn't that a good thing?
I'm glad there was a way for these companies to get around this law... who doesn't love free stuff!?
