A Shooting on Route 422 Friday April 9 Was Due to Road Rage

John Yannarell from Gilbertsville, Montgomery County, was traveling on Route 422 in Upper Providence Township on Friday April 9 when he allegedly shot another driver in what is being called road rage.

John Yannarell is now in custody.

According to WFMZ Allentown, the police received a call at about 7:17am from a woman claiming that she had been shot while driving during rush hour. She said that she noticed another car driving erratically and then she felt a tremor in her vehicle and thought it had been hit. Just a few moments after she noticed that she had been struck in the elbow and leg by a bullet.

The woman who has not been named, has non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police do not know the exact cause for the shooting or the exact incidents leading up to this apparent act of road rage.

"It was an unremarkable incident up until that point, something we hear about everyday on the highway," said Sgt. Andrew Skelton of Skippack Township Police. "There was no impact, no accident. She observed the vehicle driving erratically and she felt a vibration on her car, which was later determined to be a gunshot."

The woman was able to give a description of the car and the license plate number, leading up to the arrest of John Yannarell.

Police are still asking for witness statements, so if you have any information please call 610-584-1250.

This mr. roadrage is one useless moron that should be sent up the river, without a paddle, for at least 20 years.  by that time the useless moron would be about 72 years old and rather docile, and no longer capable of driving, under new PA age laws.
