45 London LTTE Men Arrested for Blocking Streets Near Parliament
London’s Metropolitan Police arrested 45 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) protesters when they moved from parliamentary square and blocked roads leading to the parliament , Monday May 11.
The arrests came after the London LTTE members blocked traffic in the area for several hours and the police tried to move them off the road. They defied the police announcement through loudspeakers that their move was illegal.
The LTTE , a banned organization in UK as a terrorist group, were carrying the official flag of the terrorist outfit , and have been taking the law into their hands when they attacked , the Indian High Commission , Chinese Embassy and Sri Lanka High Commission buildings during the past few weeks using the parliamentary square as a meeting ground. They also beheaded the Nehru statue close to the Indian High Commission building. In their attack against the Sri Lanka High Commission several police men were also injured.
The Metropolitan Police said the 45 Sri Lanka Tamils were arrested for “willful obstruction”, “violent disorder” and “assault on the police”. Out of the initial 500 protesters about 400 remained on the Great George Street after the arrests.
This is firstly a copy of the story of the fabled camel, where he was allowed to put only his head in the tent but finally managed to squeeze in his whole body. The LTTE Terrorist Supporters were given a 24 hour period to hold their protest from the grass patch in the parliamentary square.
Conveniently failing to understand, the protesters moved to the two sides of the square blocking access to White Hall.
It is sometimes whimsical to see that the demonstrations starting off as very quiet ones but gathers momentum laced with violence as time goes on. Tamil Terrorist supporters getting arrested any where they held protests, any where in the world is nothing new.
The world is against conscription of Child Soldiers. At these Tamil demonstrations, children carrying terrorist flags and slogans can be observed.
To the world, conscripting a child soldier is a crime. But, a child who even does not know what is going on in Sri Lanka (or probably brainwashed), carrying a Terrorist Flag is acceptable. Or, is it?
The 45 arrested Terrorist supporters should be deported so that they can help in the rehabilitation of their homeland which they left without any feeling for the people whom they are shedding crocodile tears now.

I have a problem with this article. As it is a polemic and not reportage. And it is not even filed from London. I was at the sit down and have pictures I am happy to upload to Now Public but I do not subscribe to the words used here. Which are potentially actionable because I do not know them to be true. As I suspect neither does the author.

"children at protest?"
Ah...! it is customary. It starts from using children fro begging. LTTEs don't care about children, but they know that human beings do care.

In the UK there is a legal concept known as the presumption of innocence. There is also a common law and a statutory right to protest even though it has been curtailed recently. Parliament Square is a special case as permission has be be sought from the authorities and generally permission is refused when parliament is sitting.
The LTTE is banned and yes its flags have been prominent at the protests.
In the US it's called due process and we have something similar in the UK. It means that after anyone is arrested, and certainly if they are charged it is for the courts to decide guilt or innocence. Calling some one a 'LTTE protester' ie someone with 'terrorist' affiliations might prejudice their defence. This is known as contempt of court. They could have been passing by, as appears to be the case with the man who died at the G20 demonstration.
"Willful obstruction, violant disorder, assault on police is right?" These are things that have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt. Not just assumed.
Finally, implying someone is a terrorist is a defamation. The UK's libel laws require that the person making the accusation has to prove it. A person's presence at a protest may not be enough.
Hope this helps.

You forgot to mention the "Patriot Act" in the US which can and continues to "violate" due process for muslims in particular. Your not very bright Steve-O. How long do you think those prisoners have been languishing in Guantanomo Bay ? Heck even today, Dick Chanay is bashing Obama on the Issue of release. As far as the Bush adminstration in its supporters the British were concerned, these people were to be held indefinitly as prisoners...Not IDP's, but prisoners in Guantanomo. One set of rules for y'all, another set of rules for the rest of the world. This is why the Russian's and Chinese block every move of the west against Sri Lanka. They know you people are LTTE supporters.
As for the article, I disagree, these Tamils should not be deported. Not only that, but the 200,000 "IDPS" (All the fools that followed Prabakaran) should be deported to England and Norway. Since they love the LTTE soo much, let the British and Norwegian Tax payers foot the bill. Then sometime later, these out-of-work LTTE buggers can join the IRA and show them how to conduct suicide bombings
