Mr. Pardo is yet another strong argument for gun control in our society. Actions such as his, are becoming the norm in our culture. This can't happen again. How many times are we going to allowq this to happen before we step up and do something about it?

Gun control isn't the problem here. Self control is the problem. The guns are no more at fault than the car in the hands of a drunk driver or the airplane in the hands of terrorist. The key is to rebuild family values and an appreciation for human life.

Speaking as someone who comes from a country (and now lives in the US) that doesn't have the same sort of gun culture or lax gun laws as the USA - I can sympathise with Americans who don't feel that guns cause the problem, but unfortunately something's got to give here and short of mind control the only way to prevent the startlingly high number of these incidents is to restrict the availability of the best item with which to perpetrate them.

The gun is not the problem? but it makes it a lot easier to lose your control. E.g. using a knife wouldn't kill that many, and the contact with your victim is more intense, so it's psychic harder to really kill I can imagine. (or e.g. Shooting looks much more like a videogame as well).

I'd much prefer to be part of a party of 25 people facing up to a muderous maniac armed with a melee weapon than a collection of semi automatic firearms.
Stop comparing stabbing and cutting tools to firearms. If blades are just as good then why has the army been wasting money on guns for all these years?

No the problem is a woman with less than two years in a marriage with NO CHILDREN being paid a $10,000 settlement. She had nothing to do with him earning that money, yet she wqants a piece. She was 43 and on her third divorce.I bet the first two poor bastards she soaked are not crying about her. Good Riddance.
