Barack and Michelle Obama attended a reception May 17th at the University Club in Portland, OR. Local Democratic leaders and about 400 invited guests listened to remarks by Michelle Obama, followed by a brief speech by the future President. The following day he led the largest rally to date of his campaign at Portland's Waterfront Park, estimated at 70,000 people.
