6.1 magnitude earthquake kills at least 22 in southwestern China
Opinion
Barry Artiste
China's 5th largest province suffered another earthquake, this is two in one year, which is not even over yet, and perhaps this area still has not recovered fully from the last quake in May of this year.
Last spring 7.9 magnitude earthquake in Sichuan province killed 70,000 and displaced 5 million citizens around the area. One wonders about this quake, though only a 6.1 one wonders what the actual damage will be with aftershocks. I will update as more news develops, if the earthquake will result in more damage,

Thanks Vinny and Sanjay for the story links.
I just figured something out, when people post on here, I cannot update my story. Every time I do, the Now Public computer says, This content has been modified by another user, changes cannot be saved. Yet for some reason I can comment till the cows come home, just not able to update. I am thinking STRONGLY,. Now Public needs to DEEP SIX this Software, and go back to basics which ran pretty flawlessly before.
So again I think Now Public should be looking into this, and fix this Turkey Software once and for all!.

They might just need a highly-paid consultant to step in ( ahem ... ) for a few hours to help them get it straightened out ... no need to demolish the whole house if the roof's just leaking a little ...

Just imagine the panic in China if this happened one week ago when the Olympics were still going on. I live in Los Angeles, and you may recall we had a 5.3 recently. Really gets your heart pumping and then the panic sets in. Especially as I work in a high rise. Fear factor 10!

Yep...another one Barry....Again no tremors in my neck of the neighborhood. They need to drill to relieve pressure inside the ground. Geothermal Development is a good way to relieve earthquakes. Sichuan Province has a lot of natural gas underground and this stuff builds up so much it causes the earhtquakes... Who is going to do this? Got me....I have been telling alot of people...When I got here China was not using ethanol in their gas until I started ranting and raving...Finally our fair city has ethanol accompanying the blend....

Also the updates, that same problem happens to me....but I wait a few minutes and it takes. It might be your computer Barry. There is a flaw with mine, which is it acts slow because the main drive got messed up when power went and shut everything down... I have not fixed it, I just wait and it catches up and it then posts.
