6 women cry rape against police chief

DAVAO CITY -- At least six women surfaced Friday to accuse a ranking police official in Davao Region of rape and other forms of sexual harassment.

With tears rolling down their eyes and shaky voices, the victims narrated to the media how they were allegedly harassed by Senior Superintendent Cesario Darantinao, former Davao del Sur provincial police director, in a press conference called by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (Vacc).

This is just one of the problems within the police services in the Philippines, High ranking policemen that think they are above the law and their authority allows them to do anything. However when they retired or are move to a different post the crimes sometimes pursue them and if this guy is guilty then I hope they stick him in jail and throw away the key.

Its because of things like this and corruption that Filipino's do not trust the police. However Vacc seems a good way forward to help curb such abuse of authority and I wish them power to their cause.
