60000 visitors came to Danang for the DIFC 2009
Da Nang, Vietnam - The International Fireworks 2009 (DIFC 2009) has just ended, the Department of Industry Tourism - Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism Danang said the city received about 60,000 visitors, increase 20% compared to last year
Although it is not a high season for tourism, but the number of 2000 foreign guests (5% increase compared to last year) visiting Da Nang to see the DIFC in 2009 is an evidence to promote the tourism industry in Vietnam this year.
Besides DIFC, lauched tours exploring Son Tra peninsula after a week attracted about 1300 visitors (50% of guests are of travel agencies taking to Danang).
Especially, Ba Na cable broken through two world records from March 25th to the DIFC 2009 (28.3) has received 5000 returning visitors, around 1000 turns per day. However, because the current tourist Ba Na "By Night" has only 60 rooms to stay, so it cannot be able to meet the needs of tourists, most visitors going cable car only visit Ba Na within a day.
Also in two days 28 and 29 of March, Da Nang welcomed 970 guests on Europa and Azamara ships from UK, France, Italy, japan and China ... to Tien Sa harbor. Ho Minh Phuong - Director of Promotion Center Tourism Danang also said 30 famtrip groups of Thailand, Singapore, South Korea have come to Vietnam to explore the investment environment of the tourist tour,by the way on DIFC 2009. These missions include travel agencies, press promotion, propaganda for the 2009 DIFC media world.
