Part-2 President Obama Speaks at the 65th Anniversary Of The Invasion On D-Day

Gordon Brown, US President Barack Obama and French leader Nicolas Sarkozy remembered D-Day landings with their wives.

The trio walked on stage several minutes ahead of their husbands in the company of D-Day veterans, earning a huge cheer from a thrilled crowd at the official commemoration. All displayed supreme confidence in front of 9,000 veterans, their families and VIP guests – but then Mrs Obama and Mrs Brown have both made solo appearances in support of their husbands.

The Prince of Wales also gathered at the rememberance service set among the graves of dead US servicemen. Later he met veterans and cadets who cheered him as he walked around the cemetery.
