Nuclear fuel replacement problems
Tricastin the endless story of nuclear incidents in France. The newest case a problem with nuclear fuel replacement. Two of the fuel elemets to remove got stucked.

The Building had to be evacuated for security reasons. Rumours of workers say, contaminated water leaked already one week ago with no message to outside world. EDF wants no to invest 20 million Euro for refurbishing the old power plant.

Wine quality Tricastin, Uranium groundwater contamination
The once released 74 kg Uranium into water at Tricastin plant,  with drinking water stop rises now questions about the wine quality. Can the highly chemical toxic Uranium enter the wine grapes with the racines exposed to Uranium groundwater? Could it be tracked and  found in the wine bottle. No investigation made so far.

PARIS, Sept 8 (Reuters) - A security incident has occurred at a French nuclear site already under scrutiny because of a series of safety scares over the summer, France's ASN nuclear safety authority said on Monday.

ASN said two fuel units became snagged in a reactor at Tricastin in southern France on Monday morning when site workers were attempting to remove them during maintenance work.

The work was interrupted and the reactor building evacuated, it said, but site workers were not affected and there was no external leak. The incident was still being dealt with on Monday evening.

SOLARLIFE, I like this story. It's good stuff.  It makes it hard to have confidence in the nuclear power industry when these accidents happen.
