This is from an online poll being conducted right now. Nearly 3 million people have voted so far and with a sample that large it is hard not to take this seriously. Time for a little less socialism/interventionism and a lot more free markets or you will have blown the bulk of that political capital you were elected with. Vote now at

Obama and the economy ResultsQ. The president's progress with the battered economy has been both praised and criticized. How well are his efforts measuring up with you?

It will be A LOT harder for Obama to win in 2012.

Not really Bush got a second term...

No offense but I doubt a phone company or yahoo can provide an accurate report of American opinion. Yahoo polls are not worth a penny. ATT may be accurate in terms of the demogaphic they serve but not of America.

You are correct that this methodology is not scientific by statistical polling standards. It is however such a one sided poll with an enourmous sample size that one can definately say it does indicate that Obama has some serious hurdles in front of him if he wants to regain his political capital neccessary to accomplish anything as President.

Polls are being done in new ways Ms. Grace! I would not knock it. Obama won't even run in the next election.

FDR got four. Obama will, and he'll probably win again. Or my mother could by some far stretch be right when she tells me "It takes four years with a Democrat to get two terms for a Conservative." But i doubt it.
I cannot vote for a person like Sarah Palin. A cannot vote for another person like either Cheney or Bush. McCain possibly due to the fact his character is respectable. But Ill pick based on who appeals to me best at the time.

Thanks Rory. That shows that a third of Americans understand nothing about the economy.

The results page is a fixed web page that hasn't changed in a week and a half. What a joke.

You are incorrect. The poll is still live and accepting votes as of 5 minutes ago. You will notice that the vote totals increase after each vote.

I have followed this ATT-Yahoo Obama Poll for 5 days and looked up comments dating back to July and although the "hits counter" number keeps going up, the 8/10/80/2 results ratio has remained unchanged through the entire 5 days. Now doesn't that seem a little strange to anyone?

Are you saying that Yahoo and AT&T are conspiring to publish false polling results?
at 10:22 on October 8th, 2009
It may not be fixed, but it is easy to manipulate. I voted over 200,000 times, it takes less than five minute to add 1,000 votes. The FRAP page tells how.

Just because you are a dishonest does not mean that the rest of us are. I voted once and I am sure most decent, honest people did likewise.

Internet polls encourange voters to vote as many times as you like, whether American Idol or AT&T Yahoo. The FreeRepublic.com asks it's members to vote often to show the left what is right. If not, the site would say please vote once or use a vote code to stop votebots like on Big Brother. I am still voting on old AT&T polls from earlier this year. The poll you are discussing takes 30,000 or more votes to change one percent. I always play by the POSTED rules, not ones implied.
