A year ago, at 2:28 p.m. on the 12th of May 2008, China was hit by a magnitude-8 earthquake near the central city of Chengdu, leaving at least 70.000 people dead and causing buildings to shake in Beijing, more than 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) away.

Today we pay the silent tribute to those who have been killed...
