9/11 Photos: Not Just Collapsing Buildings

As we reach the eighth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, people and news sources alike are bringing out their 9/11 pictures. Most 9/11 photos show the Twin Towers in various states of collapse, but the ones that stick with me are images of people: the eshcausted rescue worker, the confused office worker, the grieving parent.

People gathered in Federal Plaza to offer aid on the first afternoon. Thousands of New Yorkers stood in lines all over the city to donate.

I also have to include my friend Leigh's photos: he lived a few buildings south of the WTC when the towers collapsed, and shot photos as he fled. I took this one a few days later: just a plastic flower left as a memorial. I have no idea who left the flower, or if it was for someone in particular.

And here I thought maybe "not just collapsing buildings" was going to be a photo article on how the WTC was rigged to implode, which I firmly believe it was.

I agree that the Sept. 11 photos of the people are profoundly touching, but to New Yorkers, the destruction of the landmark buildings also affected them in a myriad of ways.

i thought it would also show the inconsistencies which are obvious to those who question the governement's explanation.

Amazing. People all have these fancy silly espionage Mel Gibson theories the at Trade Centre was US initiated, if some had basic structural knowledge they would know Heat, shear forces on structural members from the aircraft on the floor supporting like a friggin million tons of steel above dropping in an instant will ultimately bring the whole building down floor by floor, with each crashing floors weight exponentially getting heavier which each floor collapsing. So Enough already!
