9/11 victims pursue bin Laden family fortune

Though it will never bring back loved ones lost during 9-11, Bin Laden's family members who made the USA their home before and during 9-11 before being sequestered out of the United States days after 9-11 for their safety by the Bush Administration may soon find themselves (Bin Ladens) paupers if this lawsuit comes to fruition by pissed off US citizens in seizing the Bin Ladens US assets.

NEW YORK - As the United States continues its long manhunt for Osama bin Laden, victims of Sept. 11 are in the midst of their own bin Laden pursuit, this one for his family's vast fortune.

Victims and survivors of the 2001 attack and insurance companies say the bin Laden family failed to cut off ties with their infamous relative after learning he was devising terrorism plots.

Because of that, the litigants say, they should be held liable for hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.

Lawyers for the victims and survivors argued Thursday that the family members are getting off easy in defending against the claims that they turned a blind eye to his evil ways after learning of his terroristic leanings in 1993.

I still do not get why these Bin Ladens were given a free pass out of the country.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the many business and personal relations between them and two generations of Bush Presidents was a major factor.

Uh... and you think they should have been allowed to escape? ... helped to escape? They helped fund this terrorrist. Make no mistake. They may lie about it, but they still continued to help fund him. Who really tracked the Bin Ladens in Florida where some of those Arab high-jackers trained at flight school?

So if your father was a pedophile child molesting bastard then you should be made liable for his actions? The Bin Laden family is a very respected and hard working family, so what the hell do they have to do with it?
