923 Million Malnourished People, World Food Day, October 16, 2008

A day after Blog Action Day 2008 on the subject of Poverty, here comes World Food Day on October 16.

While I worry about Brie and Chardonnay versus tap water and yellow American cheese, the World Food Day homepage reminds us that some 923 million undernourished people in the world. Most of them live in rural areas where their main source of income is the agricultural sector.
