Abby Tyler, the girl who was shot along with her dad Stephen Tyler in their furniture store on Thursday night, has become the fifth victim of the suspected Gaffney South Carolina serial killer, as she has died in hospital.

Tyler, 15, was shot at her father's furniture store and airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Thursday. Her father, 48-year-old Stephen Tyler, died at the scene.

Cherokke County Sheriff Bill Blanton said that Thursday's shooting was carried out by the same person who has killed three others since last Saturday in the area.

A serial killer is a person who has killed three or more people.

Many South Carolina residents are afraid to leave their homes and have canceled their Fourth of July holiday plans as the murders pile up and continue to go unsolved.

The killings started last Saturday when a 63-year-old man was shot to death.

Police do have a sketch of the main suspect and are currently looking for a car that they believe may be involved: an early 90s model gray or champagne Ford Explorer Sport.

I'm  glad that he was found.. and was summarily shot and killed today by police, while he was apparently robbing another couple.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who lost loved ones to the evil acts of this perversed and crazed individual.

I'm also horrified at the killing of the furniture store owner and his daughter.  I mean, who in the hell kills innocent kids who are just learning a trade and helping their family???

Well, I'm not GOD, but I will say that there has to be a special place in hell for people like this killer, (who I'm purposely not mentioning, due to not wanting to contribute to his wicked celebrity).

Again, my prayers are  with the families of the victims and I hope that the lord will help heal their pain thru time.  But I realize that there is very little that can be said to help this kind of healing.  Only prayers, sympathy  and time can be offered.  I pray you will all find some kind of comfort from this.  At least the horrible and despicable person who committed these evil acts is no longer around to hurt anyone else.

God bless the people and communities hurt by this wicked man.
