My God, I do not understand why these 'Pro-Life' people are so keen to kill people. The late Bill Hicks had it right when he said that these pro-life people should bring up the unwanted babies. Sadly, many would probably be ruled out as being unfit to act as foster parents by the authorities.

I condemn the murder of this man, but I have to disagree with the characterization of pro-life people.
Very few are so "keen" to kill people. And, the pro-life people do offer to bring up the unwanted babies. There is no hypocrisy on that count. They offer services to get the child adopted. There is, in fact, a shortage of babies to adopt, which is why so many go abroad to adopt.
Third-trimester abortions are way beyond the limit on what is morally acceptable, except in the case where, with multiple fetuses, the death of one would kill the others and, so, a therapeutic abortion of the dying fetus would save the lives of the others.
Obama's position of allowing third-trimester abortions, which Roe vs Wade does permit the government to ban in whole and in part, is monstrous. He supports allowing babies which have survived botched abortion attempts, the method being the sucking out of the brains of the unborn child, to simply die, unassisted, because helping the child would unduly "burden" the physician and the woman.

Hey I understand the right to die....but certainly not the right to live? Woman should have a choice....and that choice began before they hopped in bed. As far as rape.....certainly the new life is responsible for it? No....so how about adoption...
The question is two fold... Rights for the woman while disregarding the newborn?
There must be respect in the womb....9 months is not a long time. Live and let live.
Women walk the streets with shorts and skirts up to their navels....and they expect not to be a public display of yearning for a crime to happen? They give a whole new meaning to the phrase: "Bring it On".

I wonder if Tiller is currently regretting killing all those innocent babies. Of course, he would only be regretting that because he's a little hot under the collar right about now...

Obama's statement on the murder of Dr. Tiller:
"I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."

This is horrific and the actions of the killer are to be condemned. The murder was senseless, and while I'm sure he feels justified in his own mind as a misunderstood hero, in truth he just transformed himself into a killer as well. He became what he sought to destroy.
That being said, those who are quick to label "the 'pro-life' people" as keen to kill should consider one thing before categorizing us all as ticking time-bombs who could, at any minute, kill our neighbor who doesn't see the world our way...
...and that is the fact that each day millions of Pro-Life supporters choose NOT to kill anyone while going about their lives. When one of them snaps and commits a hideous crime, it's blasted across the entire media spectrum as a spectacle that causes the public to profile pro-life people in a light that is simply not true.
Compare that to the fact that each day thousands of abortion practicioners DO choose to murder 2,800 innocent and helpless Americans as a matter of course. Heck, in the course of one week we kill 4 times as many people as died on September 11th...and don't even bat an eye.
If each and every one of the deaths of these unborn children received the same attention that this story is, there would not be any airtime on any station (broadcast or cable) to view anything else other than stories of these senseless killings.

BO....Barak Obama said:
"I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."
And Obama thinks abortion is not a heinous act of violence? Just how can that not be an act of violence? Because a doctor uses surgical tools....makes it nonviolent? Death is death is it not?
BO...Barak Obama ...Body Odor.. what stinks?

Killing any one for his or her opinion or their deeds is unacceptable, no matter the issue.
In a Democracy the majority rules and terror can not be allowed nor tolerated.
And this even if the majority may be wrong in once view. And that is the point it is a view and a believe still and this on both sides.

Jesus stated "He without sin among you let him cast the first stone at her." Some religious still stone raped women & own women. Who should own them as a slave? Exodus describes no penalty for women who choose to terminate pregnancy, nor does any Bible verse.
Do you want the government to outlaw your right to your bodily functions and quality care? I hope your loved ones are not turned away from quality doctor care. One of mine was. She was luckier than others and survived a nonprofessional abortion.
Medically, a fetus becomes a baby at its first breath. Then, siblings recognize it & it's named, christened, given citizenship, & celebrates zero. Unless you're a surrogate, the only way to give rights to unborn is to take away women's.
Thank you centrists for allowing reproductive freedom rather than forcing women to create newborns or abort their pregnancies. Women value reproductive freedom, knowledge, privacy, and the right to privately regulate our own bodily functions.

How sad and senseless.
Blame religion. From talking to imaginary deities, to committing violence in the name of such deities, has always been a small step.
You'd think, in the 21st century, in a developed country, such ignorance would have abated. But a large portion of Americans apparently lack even basic knowledge of biology, and can't understand what sentience means.
The Federal government should go after those, who incite such hatred and violence, including Operation Rescue.

Obama can express shock and outrage all he wants, but, as Sunsara Taylor has written:
"When it comes to abortion, the 'common ground' Obama is putting forward is one where everyone accepts the notion that there is something morally wrong with abortion and where the legitimacy and the very existence of women who are perfectly okay with their abortions is erased. At a time when abortion is very hard to access for a great many women and the freedom to abort is undermined by the mountain of guilt and shame that is heaped on women for even considering this option, Obama’s 'common ground' is one which abandons the fight for abortion access and retreats instead to a rear-guard battle to reduce unintended pregnancies without ever even mentioning birth control."
and she follows it up by saying, "It is imperative that people see this speech, and Obama’s position overall, for what it truly is. It is not a reasonable middle ground, but a step-by-step waltz into a world with fewer and fewer rights for women and less and less ground to stand on to resist. It is urgent that people bring forward a new framework: one that values the lives of women above fetuses, one that sees the positive value in women being enabled to live full social lives including by controlling their own reproduction, one that recognizes that this is good for society as a whole."

I agree, 9 months is not a long time, wait and allow for adoption.
