Accused Terrorist Khawaja Constructed Remote Detonators :Canada's 1st Terrorist Trial by Barry Artiste

Funny, I have received emails from Momin Khawaja supporters who take exception to my opinions and reporting on this trial, many quite upset, I even mention his name.  I guess they spend a lot of time googling stories on him so they can send their Free Khawaja Websites.   Those who email me are from your typical Lefty groups who spout drivel stating he is innocent, despite mounting evidence being uncovered in the man's Orleans home.

Khawaja is accused of building the Hi-Fi Digimonster transmitters which were to be used to set off fertilizer bombs in Britain, and Police have found these transmitters on his computer at home, among emails to these groups discussing his progress so far.  These transmitters, do have limited range around office buildings, Khawaja it is believed was trying to extend the transmitters range.  After all, his Terrorist buddies do not want to get to close to the bomb they set off to kill hundreds of innocents.

Guess some Terrorists, such as these, do not buy that Suicide is Painless theory, and the 1,000 virgins in paradise mantra.

So I will continue to cover the trial and state the facts, something his supporters certainly do not want known.  His supporters by the way, are not fellow Muslims, but  Liberal Nutjobs, at least in my opinion.

And as per usual, I am sure to get emails about this story as well from his supporters unclear on the concept, that if you leave evidence such as emails lying around, not to mention electronic transmitter components, Police will find it.  How can  Khawaja  defend himself against that? I am sure his supporters will find a way to discount the evidence.  Such as the Terrorist Fairy left them under his pillow,

E-mail bragged of 'fireworks'

Khawaja wrote about device capable of detonating bomb

By DONNA CASEY, SUN MEDIA

Momin Khawaja told the ringleader of the U.K. fertilizer bomb plot that he was working on a electronic device that would send a radio signal that would "get fireworks."

On November 30, 2003, the software designer sent an e-mail to Omar Khyam explaining his progress on "the project" he was working on.

"There is one transmitter, another receiver that will be at a distance of 1 or 2 km that will be attached to the wires and send out 5 volts down the line and then we get fireworks!" Khawaja wrote.

The 29-year-old Orleans man is accused of constructing an electronic device designed to detonate fertilizer bombs in a 2004 U.K. bomb plot.

In an e-mail sent on Oct. 18, 2003 by Khawaja to Khyam, who was convicted with five other men in 2007 for hatching the conspiracy targeting major London landmarks, Khawaja told Khyam that "I will start on the remote devices right away and will let you know when we have it ready for testing. and i will find some of the things for testing, urea, nitro phosphate, anything else we need?"

Urea and nitro phosphate are chemicals used in assembling explosives.

In another e-mail presented by Crown prosecutor David McKercher, Khawaja wrote to Khyam that he was going "full speed ahead with our projects and putting together up to 30 devices for u niggas."

In his third and final day of testimony, RCMP explosives expert Sgt. Sylvain Fiset said there were enough electronic components found in the Khawaja house to build a second Hi-Fi Digimonster, the remote-controlled electronic detonator the Crown alleges Khawaja designed to set off fertilizer bombs in the U.K. plot.

CAPABLE OF DETONATING

In tests he conducted on a prototype that he built based on a photo found on Khawaja's computer hard drive, Fiset said its electrical current was "sufficient to trigger a detonator."

Khawaja faces seven terror-related charges, including doing "work on the development of a device to activate a detonator" with the intent of causing an explosion leading to injury or death.

Fiset also said police found an additional seven encoders and decoders among the electronic components found at the Khawaja house in Orleans. An encoder and decoder were parts of the Hi-Fi Digimonster.
