ACORN - Is anyone watching?

I find the following statement located on the Acorn.org website to be a joke..."ACORN is a non-profit, non-partisan social justice organization with national headquarters in New York, New Orleans and Washington, D.C. To maintain independence, ACORN does not accept government funding and is not tax exempt. "  ACORN stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now

First I would like to point out that on the first page of their website there is an article titled "ACORN Response to the First Presidential Debate" slams McCain and Praises Obama. I am not sure how that falls under their "nonj-partisan" banner.

The other thing that made me want to laugh (or throw a brick at the computer) is the part that a says "does not accept government funding." Congress has been battling all weekend, partially because the democrats were trying to allocate 20% of any profits received in the future from the 700billion dollar ballout to be funnelled to ACORN.

Does anyone care anymore what is going on in our country?
