ACORN: House Votes to Cut Off ACORN Funding

In a 345-75 vote that crossed party lines, the US House of Representatives voted to cut off funding for ACORN, the community-organizing group that's been rocked by several scandals. The centerpiece of the scandal was undercover video shot by conservative activist filmmakers Hanna Giles and James O'Keefe, in which the couple sought- and got- advice on how to set up a brothel in a private house.

Earlier this week, the US Senate also voted to cut ACORN's funding, so now the bill goes before US President Barack Obama.

The vote, on a provision attached to a student aid bill, was 345-75, with Democrats supplying all the “no” votes.

Good to hear, ACORN needs to be defunded and to just go away. The latest sting in San Bernardino is where I live.

Thanks for this, jordan. Does anyone really believe that President Obama is going to 'allow' this?
