Acts of terror - are we pressing self destruction button

On Friday the 25th July 2008 Bangalore was struck by terror .There were 9 blasts in all and one live bomb freshly planted near a popular shopping mall called “Forum” in Koramangala was meant to actually kill scores of people.Was it that Bangalore was lucky that during the explosion it was raining heavily therefore ,people were not really crowding the places when the explosion took off .It really doesn’t look like dry run as many section of the media reported.

Yesterday the same strategy was adopted at Ahmadabad in Gujarat (Western coast of India) . 17 explosions in all in a span of 60 minutes and 45 people dead and more than 150 injured. It looks like the handiwork of the same terror group as the modus operandi is the same.
Today in all the news channel it was shown that a virtually unknown organization called “INDIAN MUJAHEDEEN “ is responsible. They have issued an email saying “ in the Name of ALLAH we have punished………..”

This really provokes our mind to think why has this world suddenly become so difficult to live in where there is so much paranoia to stay alive and no certainty if any one of us are really going to be back home after work to see our families smiling faces as any thing can happen any time for no fault of our own.

Is this what these people behind these ghastly coward acts want us to feel?

Let it be in INDIA ,UK, Middle east ,Africa or US where we may be from , is there any continent that is not touched by the element of hatred and religious fanatism .

What gives these twisted minds so much pleasure to treat mankind like lowly forms like insects to go to such extent of killing so many innocent people for just their dogma and validate it in the name of God Almighty?. These handfuls of people commit such great offense and the entire Islamic community has to pay the price by being looked upon with suspicion and reprisals.
These actions defy logic and sanity.

Can humans be driven to such an extent that is beyond cannibalism and cruelty that one forgets the affinity to the fellow beings that exists so well in animals and can one become enmass so insensitive that they can devalue human existence to perpetuity. This can put the holocaust of the WWII to shame with the kind of terror that is spreading. The science and technology is being misused in the name of progress to send us back to stone age .

Are we programmed to self destruction in this manner ?
