Adaisha Miller of Detroit, Michigan died after an unusual shooting involving a police officer. The 25-year-old died after hugging a police officer whose gun went off.

Miller was reportedly out celebrating her birthday when she playfully hugged an off-duty police officer. The hug caused the gun to discharge, striking Adaisha Miller through the lung and heart.

 US woman celebrating her 25th birthday has died after hugging a police officer while dancing, causing his holstered gun to accidentally shoot her.

The officer involved in the incident, Ralph Godbee Jr., was place on administrative leave.

According to an updated story in the Detroit Free Press, the death of Adaisha Miller is being ruled a homicide.
